N o S f E r A T u
A SYMPHONY OF HORROR
1922

Through Early January I performed the original 1922 Film Nosferatu adapted & inspired by Bram Stokers epic Dracula, and to which was the first ever film made from it's genius and completely original Interpretation in 1922. directed by Mur.

It was screened live in many different exciting venues across the North East Coast, one place in particular that was most exciting was Whitby where Bram Stoker himself got heavily inpired by to write his enigmatic Novel masterpiece. I performed it At Whitby Brunswick Centre A local Church that got run down in 1997. Years and years on it runs as a centre hiring Local Artists, They even let me play their Cathedral Organ At The Start of the Show which was amazing!!

So why Nosferatu?

Well?! I suppose it's a long and confusing story but one day I just decided. . . Right, I need to do something new so I'll write my own music for Silent Films and get it performed. Simple and yet so tideous as that! I was trying to find a Silent Film that worked, and i was kind of strolling across Youtube and found Nosferatu, And it resonated with me straight away! At first with me not knowing what to do with the music was a slight challenge, but eventually i started to slowly unravel the Film piece by piece and created my own unique score for it.

I decided that the music would not work if it was my own original compositions, so i decided to add Artists like Meatloaf, Radiohead, Kate bush & even Ketty Lester giving the film an overall new and unique never heard musical style not just on Nosferatu, but on other silent Film as-well. This was a mix with some small Comprised Compositions of my own. And it seemed to work so well accompinied by a Local Acapella Singer Beth Burrows.
